We are Matt and Sarah De Remer, the community leaders here at Thrive.

We’ve been married for over 12 years and have three young children!

We have been involved in church leadership for a number of years, and it was during the lockdown in 2020 that we felt God starting to stir something new in our hearts. As we have journeyed through the last 6 years, God has continued to speak to us about a more simple, personal way of gathering and growing together as a church community. This has led us down the path of pioneering Thrive Community - a place where we’re seeking to rediscover the ways of the early Church described in the Book of Acts. Simple and effective.

We don’t have all the answers but we believe God works best in and through community. We are doing this together as a family and we believe everyone, both young and old, has a special part to play in the body of Christ. 

We believe Church is so much more than a building, and we’re passionate about helping people grow in their God-given purpose and destiny! We apply this passion in our own lives - in addition to leading Thrive, Matt is a corporate consultant, and Sarah is an early childhood teacher working in university education.

And finally, when the TV is on at home, we’re usually flipping between Bluey, sport and some kind of real estate show!
